Is It OK to do other workouts along with the Get Fit At Home in 30 Days Challenge?
Yes absolutely! Many challengers at the intermediate to advanced fitness levels are doing other workouts programs when they sign up for the challenge.
The most important thing to do is ensure you are taking rest days and not overtraining.
What timer app do you recommend?
I use the Interval Timer App (available for iPhone and Android)
There are plenty of other timer apps, and you can also just use a good old fashioned stopwatch!
I have an injury, can you give me modifications for the workouts?
There are so many unique injuries out there, so unfortunately we cannot customize everyone’s workout to their specific injury.
LISTEN to your body while training and workout within pain free limits. If there is a move that doesn’t work for you, try something else.
Seek the guidance of your doctor, physical therapist, orthopedist or expert who can help you make specific modifications or advise you on the appropriateness of your workout program.
Should I warm up/cool down before the workout?
Yes, you should always make sure to warm up before exercising.
You don’t ever want to stretch cold muscles, so choose dynamic (moving) stretches, such as arm or leg circles.
After you workout, you want to bring your heart rate down slowly, and then stretch out your muscles. This is when you do static (holding) stretches. Make sure to hold them for about 30 seconds each.
Do you have any tips for working out while pregnant?
Keep in mind that I cannot provide you with specific information about your pregnancy and fitness – you must consult with your doctor who knows you health history much better than me!
What is the benefit of having a FIT GIRL’S FOOD GUIDE during the Challenge?
Having a Meal Plan to follow will speed up how quickly you see results with this challenge!
Use this time to also dial in your eating, because you can exercise all you want but not see that hard work pay off without a foundation of healthy balanced eating.

How much weight will I lose during the challenge?
Everyone is completely unique and the rate at which we lose fat is different.
What I CAN tell you is that you will definitely be doing something great for your health by completing this challenge, and you WILL see fat melt off.
Fat loss occurs when combining these challenge workouts with a healthy, balanced diet – and these challenges help you learn how to create a healthy life by showing you the proper ways to eat and exercise without wasting a bunch of time.
Try not to focus on your weight. Your weight will not actually measure your fat loss. Because you’re doing workouts that help sculpt lean muscle you may not see a huge weight difference. Muscle is denser than fat, and as you add lean muscle and lose fat you will SEE your body change – but not always your weight.
That’s why you should DEFINITELY take PROGRESS PICTURES every week, and NOT rely on the scale.

In fact, I suggest not stepping on the scale at all during the challenge. Use your clothes as a way to track progress – they will start feeling loose as the weeks go by!
What can I do if I am not getting the workout emails?
Please make sure you have followed these steps, as emails cannot be individually re-sent:
- Registered for the 30 Days Workout Challenge
- Clicked on the LINK in the confirmation email that you get right after sign up.
- Add me to your contacts: Add firstname.lastname@example.org as a safe sender, and created a filter for emails from me to go to your email inbox. See below for specifics on each type of email.
- Replied to the Commitment Statement email.
*Emails get sent AUTOMATICALLY at the same time every day. Get in the habit of checking for it each day, and if you do not see it, it could be in your junk or spam folder.
You registered, you confirmed, but you can’t find the new email?
- Do a search inside of your email account for “Yildiz G. Fitness” – this is helpful because it searches everything, even folders you don’t know about.
Try doing this on your HOME computer or laptop rather than your phone, if you still can’t find anything – not every email or folder shows up on your mobile device.
So even if the first email went to your inbox, check your spam anyway (or promotions tab – GMAIL) for the second one!
- The ONLY other reason you won’t be able to find emails from me about the challenge would be because you may not have signed up on the registration page, or you mistyped your email.
If you’re still having trouble with the emails, rest assured the system is set up and working fine.
